I am accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive
Psychotherapists (BABCP).
I use a number of different treatment approaches, such as CBT and CBT-E for eating disorders, DBT, CFT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Lego Therapy. I often combine different elements of these treatments, adapting my clinical approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with.
Our lovely therapy dog, Jelly, is a professional cuddler, he is a great listener and if you wish, he can be a comforting therapy companion - his fee is 2 treats an hour
As a member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) I practice in accordance with their framework of Standards of Conduct Performance and Ethics. I believe it is important to have a shared understanding of the responsibilities which both client and therapist have during their work together, and I work in a way which supports openness and allows us to develop a shared understanding of the difficulties we are working with.
To be fully compliant with these guidelines it is necessary for us to agree a therapy contract at the beginning of our time together, to ensure we have mutual understanding of each others expectations and the therapeutic undertaking. A copy of the BABCP code of conduct is available for you to download in the link below
I provide psychotherapy as part of a clinically supervised service under the oversight of a HCPC-registered Psychologist.
All care is delivered within a structured clinical evidence-based framework, designed to support the assessment and treatment of psychological and mental health conditions. Treatment plans and therapeutic approaches are developed and reviewed in consultation with a HCPC registered Psychologist to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate care. This includes: Review of assessments and case formulation, Input into treatment planning, Ongoing clinical oversight and case discussion and consultation where complexity or risk arises.
